If you have a foreign judgment that involves a person, thing or matter located or related to Greece, you should be aware that this judgment is not automatically enforceable in Greece.
For instance, if you obtained a divorce abroad but were married in Greece, you will still be deemed married under Greek Law, until your foreign divorce judgment is recognized in Greece.
The same applies for all types of foreign judgments that may involve Greece (such as judgments of custody, visitation, child support, debt collection, conservatorship, guardianship, etc.)
Our office can assist you when you need to enforce a foreign judgment against a Greek defendant or if you simply wish to ensure your rights are equally protected in Greece.
We will draft and file a petition with the competent Greek Courts, translate all your Court documents and appear at the hearing, without your presence in Greece being required, providing you, upon the completion of your case, with a final and absolute Greek Judgment mirroring the original foreign Judgment.
